CHANNEL 12 FEATURED CUPCAKES




Tie-Dye Cupcakes
1 box white cake mix batter, prepared as directed
Food coloring
Decorating Gels
Separate batter into equal amounts for as many colors you are going to use. Add dye to batter and mix thoroughly. Scoop each batter color into zip-lock bag. Snip end and squirt into cupcake liners in equal amounts. Be sure not to overfill. Bake as directed on box.
Frost cupcake with solid color. Using decorated gel, create concentric circles with different color gels. Drag lines through circles from center to edge and then from edge to center to create tie-dye effect.


Chocolate Coconut Bunny Cupcake
1 cupcake
1 lady finger, cut in half
chocolate frosting
toasted coconut
2 toothpicks
2 pieces uncooked spaghetti
1 pink piece of candy (fruit Mentos)
2 small pieces of candy (candy necklace beads)
Frost cupcake with chocolate frosting. Dip frosted cupcake into toasted coconut. Dip cut ends of lady finger cookies into chocolate frosting and then tuck into edge of cupcake. Use toothpicks to prop up ears. Sprinkle toasted coconut over exposed chocolate frosting. Add pink Mento for nose. Add two pieces of candy for eyes. Break spaghetti into smaller pieces and tuck under nose for whiskers.

Easy Cupcake Flags
Draw or print designs onto standard Address Labels (Avery 8160). Fold sticker in half around a toothpick. Poke into top of cupcake.
