Tomorrow morning, I embark upon a 3-day adventure to top all others.
Foodbuzz and Electrolux are bringing 15 bloggers to New York City to learn cake decorating secrets from Buddy "The Cake Boss" Valastro and meet with Kelly Ripa. We will also be attending a taping a Live with Regis and Kelly and checking out April Bloomfield's Spotted Pig restaurant.
The amazing part is all of this amazing fun is to bring all of us bloggers togehter to generate attention for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. The mission of OCRF is to fund research to find a method of early detection and ultimately a cure for ovarian cancer. We help patients and their loved ones understand the disease and its treatment, and provide outreach programs to raise public awareness. Cancer of any kind is an ugly monster that can sneak up on any of us at any time. I have seen it touch my own father, many friends, I have watched co-workers die. Screw You Cancer! It is an honor to be included in this group.
