GUELPHMERCURY.COM — Late-autumn Ontario cyclists are fewer in number than summer cyclists, but sometimes they pass out cupcakes at busy intersections.
On Friday afternoon, a pair of bike enthusiasts tapped on motorists’ windows at the intersection of Gordon Street and Kortright Road and offered then cupcakes with Halloween-theme icing. The act of giving was aimed at bringing attention to newly expanded bike lanes on Gordon, and a way of showing that cyclists aren’t to be feared — in fact, they can be downright friendly.
